What if the pigment is unstable? Is there no sodium hexametaphosphate(SHMP)?

Pigment makes life more colorful, and the color of pigment is more bright. It is widelyused in home decoration, architecture and other places. Therefore, stabilization ofdepolymerized pigment particles in the process of pigment dispersion is also a veryimportant link, otherwise the pigment will be re-flocculated during storage andconstruction, resulting in a decrease in the quality of the pigment.Sodiumhexametaphosphate(SHMP)has a good dispersing effect on pigments, which increases thesurface energy of pigments and has a tendency of aggregation.

In the dispersion system of pigment, the stability of pigment is achieved mainlythrough two mechanisms of charge stabilization and three-dimensional protection. Morecommonly used is to add some surfactants or inorganic dispersants, because the aqueoussolution of SHMP is alkaline, the dispersion of dispersing media is stronger, theeffect of reducing viscosity is more obvious, so it is more suitable for use as aviscosity reducer.

SHMP has good viscosity reduction effect on dispersing media, because PO43-afterhydrolysis of phosphate is easy to adsorb with the positive edge of protective adhesiveend surface, forming negative edge. Both the wafer surface and the end are negative, and the wafers repel each other and become stable suspension with low viscosity andhigh dispersion in water medium, so the viscosity decreases sharply.

Therefore, the bonding mechanism of SHMP is: it is a viscose after water absorption, which is closely related to the nature of SHMP itself. The molecular formula of SHMP is(NaPO3)6, which is a kind of uncertain composition. Phosphate, an anion of SHMP has ahigh molecular weight, generally containing up to 30~90 PO3genes and forming a longchain.

SHMP, an inorganic salt, can reduce the particle size of protective glue particles inwater, reduce the interaction between particles, significantly reduce the viscosity andimprove its fluidity.
