Industrial grade calcium formate can improve the strength effect in engineering construction
The field of engineering construction concrete mortar is not simple artisans and mud, it is complicated because it is not as mature as paint. Many reaction mechanism formulations need to be studied and tested in detail. The polymer interacts with the cement to form a cured body. The effect of increasing strength with industrial grade calcium formate is simply an admixture used for concrete mixing. It has the advantages of improving the early strength of concrete, for early demoulding, improving concrete antifreeze performance, and early use of concrete structures.
Calcium formate is an additive that does not have any aggressive effect on reinforcing steel. Under the premise of ensuring the quality of concrete, the final setting time can be greatly shortened, so that it can be demoulded as soon as possible, thereby speeding up the turnover of the formwork. Save formwork, save energy and save cement, reduce production costs, and increase the output of concrete products. So don't underestimate the strength effect of calcium formate in construction.
At present, the main application of calcium formate is to accelerate the hydration of tricalcium silicate in cement and increase the early strength of cement mortar. The effect of calcium formate on the strength of cement mortar mainly depends on the content of tricalcium silicate in cement. With less tricalcium silicate, its early strength effect is good, it will not attenuate the later strength of cement mortar, and it has a certain degree of antifreeze at low temperatures.
There are two main reasons for adding industrial grade calcium formate to polymer mortar:
One is that some construction sites require a certain construction schedule. The addition of early strength agents makes it have higher strength in the early stage to meet the requirements of withstanding external forces.
Second, when the temperature is lower, the strength of the mortar is slower, and the lower the strength when frozen, the greater the harm to the mortar. The mortar is damaged by freezing at the early low strength and can cause permanent damage to the mortar, so the early strength agent needs to be added at a lower temperature.
Calcium formate is a new type of low-temperature early strength agent. Calcium salt can reduce the PH value of the C3S-H2O system, thereby accelerating the hydration of C3S, and thus the hydration and hardening of cement. It has this effect and does not contain chloride ion, sodium and potassium ion calcium formate. It is also an effective early strength agent to replace calcium chloride in mortar.
It is the requirement of every boss to want low cost and good performance. The initial use of calcium formate can be optimized through more experiments, and the batch is used after the formula is stable. Only by deeply understanding the performance of calcium formate can we have more innovation.
