Basic dyeing auxiliaries, which are used as special dyeing auxiliaries for basic dyeing of polyester fabrics, popularize the basic dyeing methods. Basic dyeing auxiliaries are composed of three components: powdered sodium carbonate, borax and sodium hexametaphosphate. The percentages of the three components are no2co322-26% sodium carbonate, Na₂B₄O₇10H₂O 20-23% sodium hexametaphosphate (NaPO₃)₆ 54-55% by weight.

The three components are stirred evenly in proportion. It is required that the fineness of the basic dyeing assistant should be more than 60 mesh. The commodity of basic dyeing assistant realized by this method is solid, but it needs to be dissolved in water when it is used, so that it has the properties of chelating and softening water quality and dispersion in the aqueous solution, making the aqueous solution alkaline and stable dyeing and dissolving pH value, while sodium hexametaphosphate technical grade can just chelate the metal calcium and magnesium plasma in the aqueous solution to achieve the function of soft water and dispersion.
