What is thermal method?
SHMP by thermal method is mainly made of phosphoric acid by thermal method. At present, the main method of thermal is electrothermal two-step method. The specific method is to add the mixture of phosphorus ore, silica and coke into the electric furnace first, and then heat it to 1300°C by electric furnace, so that the furnace charge can be melted and decomposed and reduced to produce furnace gas containing a large amount of elemental phosphorus. The furnace gas then enters the condensing system and is cooled. After coagulation and separation, yellow phosphorus is refined. Through the above process and reaction process, we can know that metal ions can not be reduced and volatilized in the process of yellow phosphorus production. Thermal phosphoric acid has high purity and few impurities. It is mainly used in the production of high quality phosphoric acid and phosphate, such as pharmaceutical grade, food grade, electronic grade and special phosphate. SHMP produced by CD is produced from thermal-process phosphoric acid and authentic soda with high purity, less impurities, less consumption and more stable quality.
Different from thermal process, wet-process SHMP is produced by wet-process phosphoric acid. The wet process is directly from phosphate ore to phosphoric acid. Because of its many impurities, its application scope is greatly limited.
In conclusion, the shortcomings of SHMP produced by wet process phosphoric acid are more than those produced by thermal process phosphoric acid. However, for special applications such as ceramics, refractories and other industries, it is more appropriate to use SHMP by thermal method.
